Dubai-based company Parkin is set to enforce parking regulations more strictly at three major malls, including the renowned Dubai Mall. The company will integrate its Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) platform with the existing infrastructure managed by Emaar, Dubai’s prominent real estate developer. This integration aims to significantly reduce parking violations, particularly in priority and designated parking spaces.
Under the new system, drivers will receive a short grace period to avoid penalties for accidental parking in priority or disabled parking areas. However, repeated or intentional violations will be identified and penalized to enhance parking management and ensure these spots remain available for those who legitimately need them.
This initiative will be implemented at the following malls:
- Dubai Mall
- Dubai Hills Mall
- Dubai Marina Mall
The move comes as part of Dubai’s broader efforts to improve city infrastructure, enhance visitor experiences, and encourage responsible driving and parking behavior. Given that Dubai Mall is among the busiest shopping centers in the UAE, this technology-driven enforcement aims to improve traffic flow and parking accessibility in the region.
