
December 30: Aurora could be seen from some parts of the US for New Year’s Eve says Northern Lights Forecast. This year’s New Year sky won’t just be lit by firecrackers but also with northern lights, which are predicted to show up over some states in the US as this year wraps up.
The prediction center forecasts that lights could be seen in the sky in the Southern and Northern lows and Southern Wisconsin. These Borealis have shown their appearance in several US states throughout the year with the sky filling with Shining colors of pink, blue, and green.
The Space Weather Prediction Center said a G3, a strong Geomagnetic storm also as a coronal mass ejection that leaves the Sun on Sunday and is expected to come to Earth, which will cause this event.
The center says that the best time to view this would be between 10 pm and 2 am local time. They also said that places with lighter pollution will be able to witness this event more clearly.
