Infrastructure Enhancements in Fujairah
To better manage rainwater and improve safety, Fujairah is initiating a major infrastructure project that includes:
- A 77-kilometer rainwater drainage network
- Two new tunnels
- Enhanced road features such as lighting, signage, speed bumps, side parking, and pedestrian crossings with traffic lights
- Upgrades to major roads like Corniche, Sheikh Zayed Road, and Al Ghurfa
Safety and Vigilance
The combination of extreme heat and unpredictable rain underscores the need for residents to take proper health and safety measures as the UAE navigates this challenging summer season.
