Raxio and Laser Light have formed a strategic partnership to enhance internet connectivity across seven African countries: Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Côte d’Ivoire, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Uganda. This collaboration leverages Raxio’s expanding network of Tier III carrier-neutral data centres alongside Laser Light’s significant scale and reach.
Together, their goal is to deliver the most advanced digital access to nearly half a billion people in these rapidly growing regions. This partnership is expected to:
- Unlock faster and more reliable internet services
- Promote digital inclusion
- Drive economic growth by improving technological infrastructure
Raxio Angola, a key part of the group, has already played a vital role in providing world-class local hosting services. It ensures robust data protection and reduces reliance on expensive overseas services, thereby contributing to bridging the digital divide and enhancing digital sovereignty in Africa.
The project will also support essential sectors such as:
- E-learning
- Fintech
- E-government initiatives
by providing consistent and high-speed internet backbone connectivity. This landmark agreement positions both companies to empower Africa’s digital transformation and stimulate innovation and development across multiple countries.
