
8 February: Players of Destiny 2 on the PlayStation client are not able to log in at the time of writing, even after knowing the Bungie servers are not technically undergoing maintenance or outage. This is because the PlayStation Network is currently down. The main channel bridging access for all online games on the console, PlayStation Network has been experiencing a global outage for over eight hours now.
Naturally, Destiny 2 players have been inaccessible, having no outage over the Dungie’s end.
The PlayStation Network has been reportedly having connectivity issues globally since 5:30 pm ET (February 7, 2025). According to Down Detector, there have been reports from players failing to use PlayStation Network online features since as early as 5:20 pm ET, Including many Destiny 2 players eager to try out the newly introduced dungeon.
In the Episode Heresy, the Destiny 2 Sundered Doctrine dungeon which was the first encounter is the latest pinnacle content veterans can try their hand at. Unfortunately, the PlayStation Network kerfuffle means some players are effectively gatekept from it. Given It’s a weekend, this is especially unfortunate for the users.
It is more relevant when the login is put off for a few hours, till the server is recovered.
