Musk and Ramasamy hit Trump’s nerve with H-1B Visa. US entrepreneurs, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who both voice and recruit for global talent, are both pushing the U.S. government to expand skilled immigration, this move has however angered U.S. President Donald Trump.

Ramaswamy and Musk pointed out that America’s tech industry relies on the expertise of engineers and professionals from countries like India. “If you want your team to win the championship, you must recruit top talent wherever they must be”, Musk posted on X, pointing out, the permanent shortage of excellent engineering talent in Silicon Valley.

Ramaswamy posted on X, mirroring the thoughts of Musk whose ethnic roots belong to India, said ” A culture that celebrates mediocrity over excellence will not produce the best engineers”. The tech leaders are urging for reformation of the H-1B Visa which currently accepts 65,000 new entries a year, with 20,000 with superlative degrees.

70% of the H-1B Visa holders are recruited from India, which increases the Indian power play in American Tech Companies. But this power play has led to the egalitarian crisis from Trump. Commentator Laura Loomer headlined this act as “not America First” and prioritizing foreign employees more. The situation got heaty when the Indian Origin Capitalist said ” India First”

However, the netizens say, that his stand on this situation is uncertain, saying that he wants talented employees too but wanting the old native Americans side is also essential for his reputation. However, being the largest contributor to the H-1B Visas this could be a turbulent situation for India-US bilateral relations.
