January 8, Naples, Italy: Italy pauses SpaceX’s Starlink amid Security Concerns. The defense ministry of Italy has not yet backed a deal with Elon Musk’s Starlink to supply new secure communications services, Minister Guido Crosetto stated.
The Italian defense ministry has not backed up a deal with Musk’s Starlink, however on Monday Musk said that he was ready to offer his services as Rome evaluates the supply accords with the tech billionaire’s Starlink business, which is a part of his SpaceX company.
Speaking in parliament, Crosetto denied that any agreement had been reached with Starlink.”There is…a need to study and evaluate every solution technically capable of providing the previously mentioned capabilities,” he stated hinting at the upcoming possibilities of this situation.
In an interview with Corriere Della Sera, Meloni said that Musk is labeled a “Monster” simply for supporting what some consider as the “wrong” side. She suggested that this criticism stems from his political affiliations and close ties to the US-elected president Donald Trump.
