The Indonesian Foreign Ministry has confirmed that there is currently no evacuation order for Indonesian citizens residing in Iran despite increasing tensions in West Asia. According to the ministry, around 386 Indonesians live in Iran, with the majority being students in Qom, approximately 140 kilometers south of Tehran.
In addition, about 194 Indonesians are located in Israel, mostly serving as student interns. While many foreigners are attempting to leave the region, particularly due to the conflict between Israel and Iran, the Indonesian government has not called for an evacuation of its nationals in Iran.
