In addition to the 4.8 magnitude quake, Indonesia recorded 19 earthquakes with magnitudes between 3.0 and 4.0, and 13 earthquakes ranging from 2.0 to 3.0 in magnitude. The latest recorded earthquake was a magnitude 2.6 event in the Northern Molucca Sea.

Indonesia, located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, is highly prone to seismic activity due to the convergence of several tectonic plates. While most of the tremors were minor and caused no significant damage, they serve as a reminder of the region’s vulnerability to earthquakes. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, urging residents to remain vigilant and prepared for potential aftershocks.
No tsunami warnings were issued following the earthquakes, and local communities reported no major disruptions. However, the frequent seismic activity highlights the need for robust disaster preparedness in the region. Keep Reading Questiqa.com
