Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed 13 new cycling tracks as part of an extensive master plan. These tracks stretch across various parts of the emirate, covering a total length of 162 kilometers. The plan aims to encourage healthy lifestyles and ease urban traffic by promoting cycling. The project includes 15 cycling tracks in total, with more still under construction.
In addition, the RTA is also working on building several new pedestrian bridges across Dubai. These bridges will enhance pedestrian safety and connectivity between key locations, making walking a more convenient option for residents and visitors.
The cycling tracks are equipped with modern facilities, ensuring safety and comfort for cyclists of all ages and skill levels. This development reflects Dubai’s commitment to sustainable transportation and its vision to become a smart, green city.
Cycling enthusiasts and the general public have welcomed the new tracks, noting the positive impact on health and environment. The addition of pedestrian bridges will further support the city’s efforts to improve walkability in urban areas.
