Dubai Police have dismissed international media reports claiming that a 20-year-old Ukrainian model was missing for ten days and later found battered on a Dubai street. In a statement issued via the Government of Dubai Media Office, the police described the reports as “false” and “containing significant factual inaccuracies.”
According to the official statement, the model is currently hospitalized in Dubai and is under medical care with her family by her side. Authorities clarified that she had sustained serious injuries after entering a restricted construction site alone and falling from a height.
“We can confirm that the incident took place on March 12. Witnesses at the scene immediately alerted emergency services, and the individual was promptly rushed to the hospital, where she remains under medical care as she continues to recover,” the police stated.
Dubai authorities emphasized their commitment to assisting the woman and her family, while also maintaining confidentiality regarding the ongoing investigation. “Following UAE laws, all evidence and case details must remain confidential while the investigation is ongoing. As such, we are unable to provide further comment at this time,” the statement added.
In response to the misleading reports, the police and media outlets refrain from spreading unverified information. They also called for respect for the privacy of the individual and her family during this difficult time.
The clarification from Dubai Police highlights the importance of accurate reporting, particularly in sensitive cases involving personal safety and security. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and provide necessary support to the model and her family.
