Dubai recently experienced heavy rains that led to flooding in multiple areas. In response to the challenging conditions, a group of 49 community volunteers actively worked across 77 locations to assist those impacted by the severe weather. Their efforts included helping stranded motorists, clearing water from flooded roads, and supporting official emergency response teams.
These volunteers successfully rescued 30 vehicles trapped in flooded streets and recovered 279 lost vehicle number plates, returning them to their owners. Their prompt and dedicated action significantly alleviated the difficulties faced by residents and vehicle owners during the floods.
In addition, Dubai Police issued 720 certificates for vehicles that sustained damage during the recent storms. These certificates are crucial for vehicle owners to facilitate insurance claims and repairs. Authorities have urged residents affected by the floods to seek assistance and observe necessary safety precautions.
The collaboration between volunteers and official agencies highlights the strong community spirit in Dubai when facing natural challenges. Ongoing support and coordinated efforts aim to restore normalcy and uphold public safety throughout the affected areas.
