Feb 6, Thursday 2025, Beijing: A Chinese naval fleet, consisting of the vessels Baotou and Gaoyouhu will participate in a multinational joint exercise.

A Chinese naval fleet, consisting of the vessels Baotu and Gaoyouhu, will participate in a multinational joint exercise in Pakistan in February 2025. China’s Ministry of National Defence said on Thursday, that this will take place at the invitation of the Pakistani military.

The exercise, code-named “Peace-2025,” will focus on maritime resupply, joint anti-piracy operations, search and rescue, and air defense. The exercise will participate in drills that aim at enhancing the capability of jointly safeguarding maritime security.

Additionally, China and Pakistan have been cooperating on military equipment projects such as the Type 054A/P guided missile frigates and Hangor-class submarines which were delivered in May 2023.
