
December 24, Tuesday: Travel Holiday Chaos, American Airlines holds their passengers across the US due to a technical error. This technical error happened on Tuesday and was notified by the Federal Aviation Administration. American Airline posted communicated to their passengers through the social media platform X that they flights are delayed and they are trying to fix the problems as soon as possible, but did not provide a timeframe about how long it’s would take to resolve the issue, to resume the services.
This diasruption came out on a bad note for the aviation industry this year, In July, a cybersecurity company, CrowdStrike issued a software update, which led to global technological outrage and invasion in many businesses, which also includes the aviation industry.
However, in December 2022, bad weather outrage made several airlines to shut down their flights during the time of Christmas. This affected 2 million passengers and cost the SouthWest more than $1 billion for the revenue and refunds of their passengers. Keeping that in mind a similar situation appeared yet again during Christmas holidays and many people’s holiday plans might have been ruined to to this technical error and cause a huge interruption in their personal lives.
