Dubai Police have issued 720 certificates to vehicle owners affected by the recent storms. These certificates are designed to help motorists speed up insurance claims and repair processes. Requests for the certificates began on Monday, following the heavy rain and storms that caused significant damage throughout the city.
Community volunteers have played a crucial role in the recovery efforts by helping to clear flooded areas and recover stranded vehicles. A total of 49 volunteers worked across 77 locations, assisting in returning 279 number plates and recovering 30 cars.
As Dubai continues to recover, cleaning services and car wash centers are seeing a surge in demand to address the aftermath of the flooding. Automobile experts have warned that repair costs may reach up to Dh25,000, depending on the severity of water exposure and damage to the vehicles.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is also making progress in infrastructure development, having recently completed 13 cycling tracks as part of broader city improvement plans.
