
Dubai, UAE – The Sharjah Police have successfully arrested 13 individuals involved in a significant cyber-fraud network centered around fake rent schemes. This group deceived numerous victims by posting fraudulent property listings online.
To gain the trust of potential renters, the suspects coordinated fake meetings and provided counterfeit contracts. Once the victims made payments for properties that did not exist, the criminals transferred the stolen funds abroad.
Authorities acted swiftly to dismantle this operation and have issued a strong warning to the public to exercise caution when dealing with online property rentals. The police continue their ongoing investigation to prevent further fraud activities.
