Dubai has introduced a 24-hour paid parking system around mosque areas, effective from August 2025. This new scheme covers approximately 2,100 parking spaces across 59 locations in the city.
The parking management company, Parkin, has partnered with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) to operate and manage these parking spaces. Although a fee will be required throughout the day, parking will remain free during prayer times to support worshippers.
The new system aims to:
- Improve parking facilities near religious sites
- Regulate vehicle parking more effectively
- Reduce parking congestion
- Enhance overall traffic flow around mosque areas
Residents are encouraged to plan their mosque visits accordingly and familiarize themselves with the new parking rules to avoid fines. This initiative is part of Dubai’s ongoing efforts to enhance urban management and provide convenience for both residents and visitors.
