The epicenter was located about 149 kilometers west of Multan city, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre. The quake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers, reported the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ).
The tremor was felt in various parts of central Pakistan, including cities such as Multan and surrounding areas. Despite the quake’s strength, no casualties or damage have been reported so far. The National Centre for Seismology noted that the earthquake struck around 3:54 am IST.
