
Dubai, UAE – The holy Eid Al Adha celebrations commenced with great spiritual fervor as UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan offered prayers at the iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Accompanied by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, the president led the prayers that mark one of the most sacred occasions for Muslims worldwide.
The day was made even more special for two Dubai families who welcomed the first newborns of Eid Al Adha 2025, adding joy to the celebrations. Across the UAE, people gathered in mosques and homes to offer prayers and exchange warm greetings, symbolizing unity and gratitude.
Preparations for Eid were in full swing throughout Dubai and other emirates, with neighborhoods embracing the spirit of the festival despite the lingering heat. Transport services and city authorities announced:

- Adjusted public transport timings
to facilitate residents during this festive period.
In addition to prayers and festivities, efforts to green the city continue with successful harvests such as grapes grown ‘above the clouds’ in Sharjah, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to sustainable development.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other leaders also sent Eid greetings to heads of Arab and Islamic countries, emphasizing strong regional ties during this auspicious time.
