March 6 Los Angeles: Pamela Bach, an actress renowned for her roles in popular television series and as the ex-wife of “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff, has died at the age of 62. The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Bach was found deceased in her Hollywood Hills residence on March 5, 2025, with the cause of death determined to be suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Born on October 16, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bach embarked on her acting career in the early 1980s. She made her film debut in Francis Ford Coppola’s “Rumble Fish” in 1983 and subsequently moved to Los Angeles in 1985 to pursue television opportunities. It was during this period that she met David Hasselhoff on the set of the television series “Knight Rider.” The couple married in December 1989 and had two daughters, Taylor Ann and Hayley.
Bach’s acting portfolio includes appearances in several notable television shows. She had roles in “The Young and the Restless,” “Cheers,” “The Fall Guy,” “T.J. Hooker,” “Superboy,” and “Viper.” She also appeared alongside Hasselhoff in the iconic lifeguard drama “Baywatch.”
The marriage between Bach and Hasselhoff lasted until 2006, ending in a contentious divorce that involved allegations of domestic abuse, which Hasselhoff denied. Despite their differences, both remained devoted to their daughters.
In her final Instagram post on New Year’s Eve 2024, Bach expressed joy and gratitude for her family, particularly her granddaughter, London. She wrote, “As we step into 2025, my heart is full of gratitude, especially for my precious grandbaby, London. Watching her grow and seeing her smile light up my world is truly the greatest blessing.” She wished her followers a year filled with “beautiful moments, laughter, and all the blessings your hearts can hold.”
Following her death, David Hasselhoff released a statement expressing his sorrow: “Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”
Their daughter, Hayley Hasselhoff, paid tribute to her mother by sharing a photo of her parents on Instagram, accompanied by a white heart emoji.
